SCOTCH GROVE - Funeral services for Mrs. George C. Zeadow, 81, were held Friday, Jan. 29, at 1:30 at the Goettsch Funeral home in Monticello with Rev. Denton Ericson as the officiating clergyman. Burial was in the South Mineral Cemetery near Onslow.

Loa Mae Townsend, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Townsend, was born July 18, 1889, at Center Junction. She was married to George C. Zeadow Sept. 11, 1907, and they farmed in Scotch Grove until his death in 1950 after which Mrs. Zeadow and family moved to Monticello.

She is survived by ten children, Mrs. Theodore (Mabel) Rienets, Mrs. Henry (Clara) Bader, Mrs. Edward (Evelyn) Zumbrunnen, Mrs. Harold (Helen) Zumbrunnen; Mrs. Vernon (Jean-Ann) Tschantz, all of Monticello; Leonard J. Hickson, N. Dak.; Kenneth G., Cedar Rapids; Robert P., Olin; George R., West Branch; and Max W., Coggon.

Also 36 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren and a brother, Harvey Townsend, Clinton.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters, a son and a daughter. Pallbearers include Raymond Bader, Richard Rienets, Dean Zumbrunnen, Neal Douglas, Michael Zeadow, Carl Rienets and Jerry Zumbrunnen.
