Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 3, at McNamara Funeral home, Anamosa, for Winifred L. Russell, 92. The Very Rev. Canon D. A. Loferski of Cedar Rapids officiated.

Mrs. Russell passed away at the Anamosa Community hospital Sunday, Jan. 31.

Born July 2, 1878, at Anamosa, she was the daughter of Augustus H. and Elmina Porter Sherman. She married Dr. Lester W. Russell, Anamosa, and they lived their married life in Anamosa. She was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal church.

Survivors include one daughter, Genevra of West St. Paul. She was preceded in death by her husband May 6, 1955; and her parents.
