OXFORD JUNCTION - Solomon N. Bahnsen 72, died at his home Sunday night, Aug. 30.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Sept. 2 at 2 p.m. at the Hayden Funeral home, Wyoming. Rev. Lyle Meester conducted the service. Burial was in the Wyoming cemetery.

He was born July 25, 1898, in Wyoming, the son of John and Christina Smallfeldt Bahnsen. He was married to Frances A. Anderson at Anamosa on Jan. 27, 1925. They farmed in the Wyoming vicinity before retiring to Oxford Junction in 1953.

He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs. August (Lois) Carstensen, Wyoming; and Mrs. Marian Romer, Oxford Junction; one son, Wayne S. Bahnsen, Wyoming.

Others include seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Matie Martins and Mrs. Josephine Meyer, Westside; and one brother, Elmer, Wyoming.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, five brothers and one sister.
