OLIN - Harry Wilbur Taylor, 79, died Tuesday, Aug. 18, at St. Luke's hospital, Cedar Rapids.

Masonic services were held at the Hayden Funeral home on Wednesday evening, Aug. 19. Funeral services were held at the Olin United Methodist church on Thursday, Aug. 20, at 2 p.m. The Rev. Robert Jones conducted the service. Interment was in the Olin cemetery.

Pallbearers included Howard Cruise, Arno Lawson, Willard Hoyman, Robert Timmons, Gerald Kruse and Charles Holland.

Mrs. Robert Jones was organist.

He was born Jan. 31, 1891, son of Alfred M. and Barbara Ann Taylor, at Olin. He attended Olin school, Cedar Rapids Business college and Kansas City Automotive school. He established one of the first automobile agencies in 1911 and called it Taylor Motor Sales Co. He was married to Etta Stivers on Dec. 15, 1915.

He was a 50 year Mason and a 50 year member of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include his wife, Etta; three sons, Keith, Iowa City, Clyde and Clifford, Olin; and one daughter, Joyce, Mrs. Merlin Lyon, Olin; sixteen grandchildren and four great-granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Lewis, and a sister, Gertrude.
