Mrs. Harry (Doris M.) Gorius, 51, Anamosa, died Monday, May 18, at John McDonald hospital, Monticello, following a lingering illness.

Rosary was recited on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 19 and 20, at 8 p.m., at the Goettsch Funeral home, Anamosa.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 21, at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic church. Rev. Alfred Brosius will conduct the service. Burial will be in Holy Cross cemetery.

Pallbearers include Lester Douglas, John Hueter, Leonard Wegman, Bruce Ruhl, Harold Harten and Henry Furino.

She was born Nov. 4, 1918, daughter of Hayes Dolan and Katherine Evers Dolan, Lamont. She graduated from Viola high school with the class of 1936 and attended University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls. She taught in Cass Center, Grundy Center and Hoosier Bend schools.

She was married June 6, 1942 to Harry Gorius at Marion. She had lived her married life in Anamosa. She was an active member of the Hospital auxiliary and served as chairman of the Hospital Bridge benefit for several years. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic church, Veterans of Foreign wars and American Legion auxiliaries, and the Mother's club.

Survivors include her husband, Harry; four children, Glenda, Rhonda, Stuart and Roger; one brother, Ronald T. Dolan, Anamosa; two sisters, Loraine, Mrs. Harvey Christian, Marion; and Patricia, Mrs. Seward Smith, Green Bay, Wisc.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
