Mrs. Glenn (Edith) J. Joslin, 80, Anamosa, died unexpectedly Monday, May 4, at her residence in rural Anamosa.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 6, at 1:30 p.m.; at the Goettsch Funeral home, Anamosa. Rev. James P. Imlay conducted the service. Burial was in the Wilcox cemetery.
Pallbearers included Everett Joslin, Glenn Seeley, Donald Joslin, David Wenger, Allan Joslin and David Joslin.
She was born July 6, 1889, daughter of Amos Austin and Mary Berkihizer Austin, near Viola. She attended Quaker school near Viola. She was married June 27, 1908, to Glenn G. Joslin, at Anamosa. She had lived her married life in Anamosa and in the present home for over 50 years.
Survivors include five daughters, Irene, Mrs. Norman Seeley, Anamosa; Pauline, Mrs. Herman Gray, Grand Rapids, Mich.; Mrs. Erma Weers, Anamosa; Marybelle, Mrs. Kenneth Wenger, Elkader; and Ruth, Mrs. Peter Cooper, Rockford, Mich.
Others include four sons, Perry, Kalispel, Mont.; Edward, Clarence; Jay, Amber; and Leonard, Anamosa; one brother, Ed Austin, Phoenix, Ariz.; one sister, Mrs. Lulu Boston, Philadelphia; 51 grandchildren, 81 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn in 1961; two sons, Clarence and Arthur; one brother and sister.
