19 March 1970 - The Anamosa Eureka

CROSS VILLAGE, MICH. - Marion Ernest Eye, 56, of Cross Village, Mich., former resident of Anamosa, died following a heart attack on Monday, Feb. 23.

Funeral services were held at the Nordman Funeral home, Cheboygan, Mich., with the Rev. Thoams A. Fraser of St. James Episcopal church conducting the service. Military services were also held.

He was born in Anamosa, Jan. 26, 1914. He is the son of Mrs. Clair Miller, Anamosa, and the late Hiram Eye. He attended school in Morley and Olin areas.

In 1935 he was married to Mary Ann Weber, Central City. They made their home in the Anamosa area until he went to the Air Force during World War II, then they moved to Rockford, Ill.

March 11, 1967, he was married to Inez Kady at the Little Brown church, Nashua. They moved from Warren, Mich., to Cross Village in March of 1969.

He is survived by his wife, Inez; his mother, Mrs. Miller, Anamosa; four sons, Ivan and Donald, Rockford, Ill.; Dale, Salix; and Rev. Harold Eye, Polaski, Ill.

Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Beverly Goedart, Lanark, I*ll.; and Sandra Eye, Los Angeles, Calif. ; one foster son, Tom Fitzgerald, Rockford, Ill.; two sisters, Minnie, Mrs. Ira Daub, Morley; and Dorothy, Mrs. Glen Hayes, Sarasota, Fla.; and 20 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Hiram Eye.
