Lavetta M. Perrine, 73, Anamosa, died Tuesday, March 10, at Anamosa Community hospital, following an illness of several months.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 13, at 1:30 p.m., at the Goettsch Funeral home, Anamosa. Rev. Melvin Miller will conduct the service. Burial will be in Oakwood cemetery, Monticello.

She was born Nov. 13, 1896, daughter of John H. Perrine and Minnie Ryan Perrine, Monticello. She graduated from Monticello high school and attended University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls.

She taught school for several years and then was employed as a secretary for the Hybrid Corn Co., and also worked at Iowa Electric in Anamosa and Monticello.

She was a member of the Methodist church, P.E.O., Daughters of American Revoluti8on, Business and Professional Women's club, Concord Round Table and Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include one sister, Samara, Mrs. Paul Smith, Anamosa; and one brother, B. T. Perrine, Cedar Rapids.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a step brother, George Waite.
