5 March 1970 - The Anamosa Eureka

WYOMING - Albert Norton Mott, 76, died Saturday, Feb. 28, at the Anamosa Community hospital.

Funeral services were held at the First Presbyterian church in Wyoming on Tuesday, March 3 at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Theodore Neely was the clergyman. Interment was in the Antioch cemetery.

He was born Sept. 5, 1893, at Oxford Junction, son of Wallace and Katherine Coon Mott. He was educated in Oxford Junction, and was married to Elsie Anderson on Nov. 21, 1926, at Marengo. They lived in Jones county during their married life.

He worked as a farmer, stone mason, at Clinton Machines in Maquoketa, and for the Wyoming cemetery association. He was a member of the First Presbyterian church, Wyoming, of which he was a trustee.

He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Walter (Eunice) Emmert, Wyoming; two grandchildren; one great grandson, and one brother, W. A. Mott, jr., Onslow.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.
