OXFORD JUNCTION - Funeral services for William Chauncy Hodgden, 88, who was found dead at his home in Oxford Mills on Friday, Jan.1 6, were held Monday, Jan. 19, at 1:30 at the United Methodist church, Oxford Junction. Rev. Lyle Meester conducted the service. Burial was in the Mayflower cemetery.

He was born Nov. 18, 1881, near Oxford Junction, son of Lorenzo and Katherine Rogers Hodgden. He was married to Ida Elliott in February of 1905. They farmed in the area until their retirement. She died in 1964.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. John (Katherine) Carstensen, Oxford Junction; and Mrs. Agnes Krumpleman, San Juan, Texas; six grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and one brother, Vern, Oxford Junction.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one daughter, one sister and one brother.
