18 November 1954 - The Anamosa Eureka

Marvin Raymond Nove, 31, a registered pharmacist at Kouba drug, Anamosa, died at 12:50 a.m. Wednesday in a Cedar Rapids hospital following a brief illness.

Services will be conducted in the Turner chapel, Cedar Rapids, at 1:30 p.m. Friday with Rev. H. A. James, Anamosa, officiating. Mt. Hermon lodge, AF. and AM. will conduct Masonic services. Burial will be in the Czech National cemetery.

Born Nov. 14, 1922, near North Liberty, the son of Libbie Nove and the late Charles Nove, he spent the greater park of his life near Fairfax, coming to Cedar Rapids in 1946 to practice pharmacy.

Mr. Nove moved to Anamosa three and one-half years ago.

He was married to Augusta Howley, Feb. 11,1946, at Kansas City, Kans.

Mr. Nove was a member of the Iowa Pharmaceutical association, American Pharmaceutical association; Mt. Hermon lodge, No. 263, A.F. and A.M.; Iowa Consistory, and El Kahir Shrine.

He was graduated from Roosevelt high school in 1941 and the University of Iowa in 1947, where he received his bachelor of science degree in pharmacy.

Surviving, besides his wife and mother, are a sister, Mrs. Elmer Rompot, Cedar Rapids, and two brothers, Wayne Nove, Cedar Rapids, and Harry Nove, Fairfax.
