OLIN - Dave Curttright died at the Wolfe nursing home in Oxford Junction Monday, Nov. 8, following a lingering illness.

Body is at the Campbell funeral home. Funeral arrangements were not complete at this writing.

OLIN - David E. Curttright, 75, died at the Wolfe nursing home, Oxford Junction, Monday, Nov. 8, following a lingering illness.

Services were held at the Campbell funeral home in Olin, Wednesday, Nov. 10, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Lloyd Dutro in charge.

Nellie Stivers sang, "Someday" and "One Sweetly Solemn Thought", accompanied by Elna Rohwedder. Casketbearers were N. R. Waggoner, Art Houstman, Eldon Hotz, Lester Wright, Ralph Norton and Virgil Vernon.

Burial was in Olin cemetery.

David Estel Curttright, son of David J. and Frances Lyon Curttright, was born at Olin, Dec. 2, 1878. He was one of a family of six sons.

With the exception of some time in Maquoketa and Wyoming, he had lived his entire life in Olin. For many years he followed the blacksmith trade, later turning to painting and interior decoration.

May 30, 1901, he was married to Alma Coppess. Seven children were born to this union.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, two sons, one daughter, and by his wife, who died April 30, 1947.

He is survived by one son, Gerald Curttright, Fort Worth, Tex.; three daughters, Violet Clark, Olin; Vanetta Linn, Garden Grove, Calif.; and Verda Fairley, Lisbon; and one brother, Harry E. Curttright, Cedar Rapids. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, six great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
