OLIN - Orlo C. Freeman, 56, Cedar Rapids, a sheet metal worker for Collins Radio company for the last two years, died at a Cedar Rapids hospital at 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20 following a brief illness.

He was born Sept. 20, 1897, at Olin, and retired from farming in 1950, at which time he came to Cedar Rapids to make his home. Mr. Freeman was a member of the Knights of Pythias and the Olin Methodist church.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Henry Immerfall, Cedar Rapids, Mrs. Dudley DeGroat, Bayside, Va., and Mrs. Martin Imster, Olin; four sons, Robert Freeman, Salt Lake City, Utah; Gordon C. Freeman, Cedar Rapids; M/Sgt. Donald Freeman, in the U.S. army in Tokyo, Japan, and Pfc. Dale Freeman of the U.S. air force in Ardmore, Okla.

Sister, Mrs. Charles Porter, Largo, Fla.; three brothers, Walter, Olin, Arthur Hillsboro, N.D.; and Gordon, Olin, and nine grandchildren also survive. Mrs. Freeman died in 1939.

Funeral was held Wednesday, Feb. 24, at 2 p.m. in the Methodist church. Rev. George Gaide was in charge. Interment was in the Olin cemetery.
