OLIN - Mrs. Gertrude Schlimmer, 69, Bettendorf, died Sunday evening, Jan. 17, at her home.

Funeral service was held Wednesday, Jan. 20, at 1:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Hill and Fredericks mortuary with Rev. Dr. J. A. Miller officiating. Burial was in Fairmount cemetery.

Mrs. Schlimmer was born Nov. 8, 1884, in Olin, the daughter of Wesley and Fannie Brickley Lyon. She was married to Henry M. Schlimmer, Jan. 29, 1901. They moved to Davenport in 1916 and to Bettendorf 18 months age. Mrs. Schlimmer is a member of St. Paul's Lutheran church and the Royal Neighbors of America.

She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Fannie Lyon, Des Moines; a daughter, Mrs. Harry Schmidt, Davenport; two sons, Henry F. Schlimmer, Davenport, and Robert Schlimmer, Woodward; two sisters, Mrs. Henry Hever, Andalusia, and Mrs. Mickey Millian, Des Moines, and two brothers, Arthur Lyon, Marion and William Lyon, Nevada.
