OXFORD JUNCTION - Definite word has been received here of the death of George O. Stewart, 58, at Hollywood, Calif. Report had come to Oxford Junction friends in a round-a-bout way, but could not be verified until now.

He had been living at the Veterans' hospital in Hollywood for several years and died there May 31 of a heart attack. Funeral was held at the Pierce's brothers funeral home in Hollywood June 3. Body was cremated and ashes are at the Chapel in the Pines, but will be sent to Oxford Junction for interment in the Mayflower cemetery.

Mr. Stewart was born in Oxford Junction, Aug. 29, 1895, the son of Mac and Tillie Stewart and had lived here until 15 years ago.

Surviving are his wife, Louise; two sons, Dean, Bishop, Calif., and George K., now in the Navy; and stationed at San Diego, and a sister, Mrs. Ruth Kennedy, Houston, Tex. Two grandsons also survive.
