Eugene H. Frankfurt, 78, Anamosa, died Thursday, Jan 14, at Mercy hospital, Anamosa, after a lingering illness.

Funeral service was conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, at Goettsch funeral home. Rev. Walter D. Wigger officiated. Burial was in Lakeside cemetery, Fairmont, Minn.

Eugene Henry Frankfurt was born in LaLalie, Ill., Sept. 27, 1876, one of eight sons born to Herman and Coroline Frankfurt.

While Mr. Frankurt was a young boy the family moved to Fairmont, Minn., where he attended the public school. After finishing school he moved to Iowa and worked in and around Amber until he was married.

In 1900 he was married to Caroline M. Hinds and they moved to Fairmont, where he was engaged in farming. Later he moved back to Iowa where he has followed carpenter work for many years.

Six children were born to this union. They are: Leslie M. Frankfurt, Anamosa; Mrs. Ethel Joslin, Kansas City, Mo.; Miss Mary Frankfurt, Mrs. Ruth Houghton, and Mrs. Coroline Eddy, all of Huntington, W. Va. One daughter, Esther A. Frankfurt, preceded him in death.

In December, 1953, he was married to Florence Daub, in Mt. Carol, Ill. They resided in Anamosa until his death.

Serving are his wife; five children, four grandchildren, four great grandchildren; two brothers, Julius H. Frankfurt, Delhi, and Rubin W. Frankfurt, Rosemead, Calif.

Preceding him in death, besides his daughter, were his parents and five brothers.
