OXFORD JCT. - Funeral service for Joseph Virgil Vochoska, 45, were held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 31, from the Hayden funeral home.

Kenneth Harden conducted the service and hymns were sung by Mrs. Otto Koranda and Mrs. Hans Ahrendsen accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Palmer Vaughn. Serving as casket bearers were Louie Benhart, Victor Tatak, Robert Nowachek, Gale Peters, Raymond Sobotka and Frank Hodovol. Burial was in the Mayflower cemetery.

Joseph Vochoska was born in Oxford Junction, March 18, 1903, the son of Joseph and Josephine Vochoska. He lived his early life here, graduating from the local high school and was employed here for a number of years. He had recently been employed in a grocery store at Belle Plaine, and had not been well for some time.

He died in St. Luke's hospital, Cedar Rapids, Monday, Dec. 28, at 5:30 p.m.

Surviving are his mother, 84 years old; four brothers, Edward, Clutier; Frank and Emile, Oxford Junction, and Otto, Riverside; five sisters, Mrs. Tillie Huston and Miss Bessie Vochoska, Oxford Junction; Mrs. Mildred Staehle and Miss Blanche Vochaska, Cedar Rapids, and Mrs. Edith Brinker, Maquoketa.

His father and two sisters preceded him in death.
