Frank Earl Boyles, 71, who lived all his life near Central City, died at Mercy hospital, Anamosa, Thursday, Dec. 24, after a short illness.

Funeral service was held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 28, at Goettsch funeral home with Rev. John W. Hosmer officiating.

Burial was in Wilcox cemetery. Serving as casket bearers were Dwayne Meredith, Darrell Meredith, Harold Secrist, Lee Finn, ? Anderson and Bert Walter.

Frank Earl Boyles, only son of John E. and Laura Healy Boyles was born Nov. 7, 1882, on a farm in Buffalo township, Linn county, where he spent his entire life.

He was married June 20, 1918 to Mable E. Nash. Five children were born to this union. They are: John E., Swisher; Mrs. Eloise Glen, San Francisco; Mrs. Ina Mae Boyles, Norfolk, Va.; Laura Katherine and Billy, at home.

Surviving besides his wife and children, are two grandchildren, Ann and Kathy Boyles; an aunt, Mrs. Minerva Rumple, and two nieces Mrs. Grace Patnode and Mrs. Charles Behnke, all of Anamosa.
