Theodore A. Patnode, 77, died at his home in Anamosa, at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22, after a long illness.

Funeral service will be conducted at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24, at St. Patrick's Catholic church with Mr. Patnode's brother, Rev. J. I. Patnode, Marion, officiating. Burial will be in Hazel Knoll cemetery, near Anamosa.

Rosary was recited Monday evening at McNamara funeral home.

Casket bearers will be Gerald Sampica, Lawrence Shanney, Lawrence LaBarge, Albert Houska, William Green and John Ronen.

Theodore Agustus Patnode was born at Cherubusco, N.Y., Sept. 17, 1876, the son of Augustus Patnode and Martha Robear Patnode.

He was married Feb. 25, 1901, to Grace Crow at Anamosa.

Couple resided at Stone City for 30 some years, and moved to Anamosa two years ago. Mr. Patnode was not employed for many years because of ill health.

Surviving are his wife and six children, Mrs. Leone Foarde, Edward J. Patnode, Mrs. Clarence Healy, Mrs. Ben Henrichsen, Bernard Patnode and Mrs. Newman Urbanek, all of Anamosa.

Twelve grandchildren, two brothers, Rev. J. I. Patnode, Marion, and Ed Patnode, Anamosa, and one sister, Mrs. Clifford Blayney, Martelle, also survive.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, two sisters, two daughters and two sons.
