Miss Agnes Fay, 86, longtime Anamosa resident, died at her home Saturday, May 2.

Funeral service for Miss Fay was held at 9:30 a.m., Monday, May 4, at St. Patrick's Catholic church. Burial was in the Holy Cross cemetery. McNamara funeral home handled arrangements.

Born in Langworthy the youngest daughter of Ed and Margaret Mulconnery Fay, she was an active member of civic and church groups in her community until recently when failing health confined her to her home at 400 N. Williams Street.

Miss Fay was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic church, the Women's Catholic Order of Forestors and in past years was an active member of the Women's club and the Democratic Relief Corp, American Red Cross, local Business and Professional party.

She had always made her home with her brother, Maurice Fay, the only surviving member of her parental family.

Visiting relatives who attended the service included Maurice Mulconnery, East St. Louis, Ill., and Mr. and Mrs. Romanus Fogarty, Des Moines.
