OXFORD JUNCTION - Final rites were held Friday April 10, from the Sacred Heart church at 10 a.m. for Louis C. Mizaur, 75, with the Rt. Rev. Monsignor Joseph Gregor in charge of the service.

Serving as casket bearers were six nephews, Ray Frank, Louie and Robert Mizaur, Joe Teymer, Anamosa, and Herman Rathje, Wyoming. Burial was in the Mayflower cemetery in Oxford Junction.

Louis Mizaur was born in Oxford Junction, May 1, 1877, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Mizaur. He was united in marriage to Ana Henek, Oxford Junction, who preceded him in death.

He farmed for some time and later operated a butcher shop in Oxford Junction, but has been retired for a number of years.

He had been in ill health for some time and several weeks ago was taken to Mercy hospital, Anamosa, where surgery was performed. He stayed then with his niece and nephew, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Teymer, near Anamosa, until a short time before his death he was taken again to the hospital, where he died at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 8.

Body was taken to the McNamara funeral home, Anamosa, where the Rosary was recited Thursday evening.

He is survived by one brother, Frank, Oxford Junction, and a number of nieces and nephews.
