MORLEY - Cyrus C. Lamb, 89, life-long resident of Morley, died Saturday, April 18, at Collier's nursing home in Anamosa.
Funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 21, in the Morley Evangelical United Brethren church. Rev. Merle Stombaugh will officiate. Burial will be in the Green Center cemetery.
Mr. Lamb was born May 18, 1863, the son of Jack Lamb and Sarah Elizabeth Kohl Lamb, on a farm two miles from Morley. He lived on the farm, where he was born for 81 years, moving into Morley a few years ago.
He served as Sunday school superintendent for 42 years for the E.U.B. church. Mr. Lamb has also served as secretary of the Morley school board, and was president of the Jones County bank, when it was located at Morley.
Surviving are a foster son, Albert Roderick, Mt. Prospect, Ill., and several nieces and nephews.
