OXFORD JCT. - Funeral services for Herman T. Toerber, 75, who died Saturday at the Monticello hospital after a long illness, were held Tuesday, June 6, at St. John's United Church of Christ at Clarence. The Rev. Calvin Schumacher officiated. Burial was in Massillon cemetery.

He was born Nov. 27, 1892 in the Massillon area, the son of John and Kate Goldsmith Toerber. He was married to Nellie May Mowry Sept,7, 1911 at Tipton. They farmed in the area until their retirement five years ago.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Raymond Stange, Monticello; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren one brother, August of Oxford Jct.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and four sisters.
