CENTER JCT. - Funeral services for Mrs. John Moehl, 43, were held Thursday afternoon, March 7, at the Presbyterian church in Center Jct. The Rev. John Beran officiated. Interment was in Forest Chapel cemetery, near Anamosa.

Mrs. Moehl died at Anamosa Community hospital March 4. She had major surgery a week previously.

Esther Louise Moehl was born Cass township in Jones county April 19, 1924, the daughter of James and Elizabeth Hannan Darrow. She was married to John Moehl Nov. 9, 1953 at Dubuque, and lived on a farm near Center Jct. since that time.

Mrs. Moehl was active in Center Jct. Presbyterian church, where she taught Sunday school and was assistant organist. She was an officer of the local Garden club and was a piano teacher.

Survivors include her husband; her mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Darrow of Anamosa; one sister, Mrs. Willard Cueno of Anamosa; two brothers, Russell Darrow of Mechanicsville and Richard Darrow of Olin.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Pallbearers were William Wessells, Keith Gray, Ted McCullough, Hans Hinrichsen, Dillon Mead and William Thompson.
