MONTICELLO - Funeral services for William Herman Lubben, 51, were held Wednesday afternoon, March 13, at SS Peter and Paul Lutheran church. The Rev. Norton J. McCaughan officated and interment was in Wayne Zion cemetery.

Mr. Lubben died March 11 at John McDonald hospital, where he had been a patient for two days. He was born Dec. 29, 1916, in Anamosa the son of John and Anna Folkers Lubben. He attended Jones county rural schools and was a 1934 graduate of Anamosa Community school.

He married Frieda Tjaden April 29, 1934, at SS. Peter and Paul church. The couple had always farmed in Cass township.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Loren of Maquoketa and Richard W. of Anamosa; and one daughter, Nancy Ann, at home; six brothers and sisters, Fred of Monticello, Mrs. Arnold (Katie) Jacobs of Monticello, Mrs. Edward (Mary) Husmann of Anamosa; Mrs. Ben (Sophia) Eiben of Monticello, Lawrence of Cedar Rapids and Alvin of Anamosa.

Pallbearers were Max Specht, John G. Eden, Raymond Machart, Jacob Dietiker, Paul Gerdes and Art Kula.
