MONTICELLO - Funeral services for George Edward Hoult, 57, will be held Friday at 1:30 o'clock at Peace United Church of Christ. The Rev. Paul Bendit will officiate and interment will be in Oakwood cemetery. Masonic services will be held at 8 p.m. at Goettsch funeral home.

Mr. Hoult died Tuesday morning, March 12, at his home in Wayne township. He was born April 12, 1910, in Monticello, the son of John and Clara Hooper Hoult. He was a 1931 graduate of Monticello high school.

On Aug. 5, 1937, he married Irene Burrichter in Monticello. The couple had always farmed in Wayne township.

He was a past master of the Masonic Lodge, member of OES, and the Anamosa Chapter and Commandry and El Kahir Shrine, Cedar Rapids.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include: his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Shirley) Meier of Cedar Rapids, and Mrs. James (Barbara) Tschantz of Marion; two grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Glenn (Frances) Eilers of Hopkinton.

Pallbearers are George Folkerts, Urban Hageman, Merle Dirks, Harvey Siebels, Louis Andreesen and August Husman.
