OLIN - Funeral services for Archie Vern Wood, 75, were held Feb. 27 at Olin EUB church. The Rev. Lloyd Dutro officiated. Burial was in Olin cemetery.

Mr. Wood died Feb. 24 at Anamosa Community hospital. He was born May 8, 1892 in Hale township, the son of Ambrose G. and Louise DeLarm Wood. He was married to Ruth Brady in 1918. They farmed in Hale township.

He was a veteran of WWI, a member of the American Legion and EUB church.

He is survived by his wife; four daughters, Mrs. Edwin (Helen) Krutzfeld of Lowden, Mrs. Tom (Dorothy) Miller of Marysville, Calif., Mrs. Charles (Ella) Holland of Olin and Mrs. Carl (Margaret) Early of Chipley, Fla.; one son, Glenn, Olin; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

Also one sister, Mrs. Jerry Blyth, Martelle, and two brothers, Gerald of Olin and Hobart of California.

A son, Richard, two sisters and three grandchildren preceded him in death.

Pallbearers were Donald Cruise, LaVerne Cruise, Marion Cruise, Joe Cruise, James Blyth and John Paul Blyth.
