MONTICELLO - Funeral services for Ed Cashen, 65, were held Monday at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Catholic church. The Rev. Joseph Kirk officiated. Interment was in Oakwood cemetery.

Mr. Cashen died Saturday, Dec. 2, at John McDonald hospital. He was born Dec. 14, 1901, the son of Cornelius and Mary Magee Cashen in Monticello.

On Aug. 26, 1927, he married Irma Thompson in Maquoketa. She preceded him in death in February 1949.

Survivors include one brother, William of Arcadia, Wis., and a sister, Mrs. Robert (Agnes) Thurow of Milwaukee, Wis.

Pallbearers were Claude Fothergill, Joe Hogan, Willard Yeoman, Norbert Manternach, Jim Miller and Lloyd Wolfe.
