MONTICELLO - Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, Jan. 22, for Mrs. Lizzie Sharp, 78, at the First Presbyterian church, with interment on Oakwood cemetery. The Rev. John Benj. Wild officiated.

Mrs. Sharp died at John McDonald hospital Thursday morning, Jan. 18, following a brief illness. She was born near Monticello Feb. 14, 1889, the daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth Fluckiger Lynch.

She received her education in the Monticello schools and was a resident of the Monticello community her entire life. She was a member of Royal Neighbor lodge.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Sharp, two brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Andrew (May S.) Gundy of Tacoma, Wash., and one brother, Dave Lynch of Mt. Sterling.

Casketbearers were Clarence Rhatigan, Sam Rhatigan, Luther Howland and Ray Fluckiger.
