ONSLOW - Funeral services for Jay Tomlinson, 82, were held Friday afternoon, Jan. 19, at the Presbyterian church. The Rev. Theodore Neely officiated, and interment was in South Mineral cemetery.

Mr. Tomlinson died Jan. 16 in the Maquoketa hospital. He was born May 26, 1885, in Johnsontown, the son of Jessie and Elizabeth Tomlinson.

He married Emma Wilcox of Monticello Nov. 9, 1918, in Dubuque. The couple lived on a farm near Onslow until 1950, when they moved to Onslow.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Don (Ann) Knight of Maquoketa and Mrs. Cornelious (Ruth) Cormack of Monmouth; and two grandsons.

Casketbearers were Donald Bearinger, Calvin Reiss, M. P. Paulson, Dillon Hall, Russel Chaplin and Raymond Bodenhofer.
