Monticello - Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at Goettsch Funeral home for Clifford Eugene Hogan, who died at John McDonald hospital Sunday evening, Jan. 4, following a long illness. Military graveside service and interment were at Oakwood cemetery.

Services were conducted by Rev. Gideon I. Krein, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, of which Mr. Hogan was a member.

Pallbearers were Gene Chadwell, Andy Dotterweich, Carroll Podhaski, Carl Himebaugh, Clifford Kidwell and Kenneth Schneider.

Mr. Hogan was born July 19, 1913, in Monticello, a son of Guy and Lena Kreeb Hogan. He attended schools in Monticello and was a veteran of World War II. He had been employed by Clinton Machine company, Maquoketa.

Mr. Hogan and the former Helen Harms were married Sept. 11, 1937.

He is survived by his wife; three children, Judith Ann, Guy Arthur and Jon Paul; his mother, Mrs. Lena Hogan; one brother, S/Sgt. Harold Hogan of Fort Carson, Colo., and one sister, Mrs. Paul (Viola) Gutknecht of Chicago, Ill.

His father, a brother and a sister preceded him in death.
