Frank Emerick, 82, passed away at his home near Monticello early Tuesday morning following a long illness. He and Mrs. Emerick had been making their home on the Gene Chadwell farm for sometime previous to his death.

Frank Emerick was born October 20, 1868, the son of the Mr. and Mrs. Henry Emerick, who lived on a farm west of Tipton. He was a resident of Cedar county all his life until he moved to the Chadwell farm near Monticello a few years ago.

Surviving include his wife Ella, and the following children: Orville of Muscatine; Mrs. William Kirchner (Esther) of Clarence; Everett of Subic Bay of the Phillipine Islands and Mrs. Gene Chadwell (Naomi) of Monticello. Also surviving include one sister, Mrs. Art Bealer of Milwaukee, Wis.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow (Friday) in Tipton. Burial will be made at the Buchanan cemetery near there.
