Mrs. Mary Rose Hein Buol, 82, passed away at her farm home on Thursday evening at 9:45 o'clock after a short illness. Mrs. Buol was born on Sept. 3, 1869 and died Dec 7, 1951. She was a lifetime resident of Richland township, a daughter of the late Adam and Anna Hein, and spent her entire married life on the present home farm.

She was married to Leonard Buol on Dec. 19, 1889. Mr. and Mrs. Buol had celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary. Mr. Buol passed away in August, 1950. They became the parents of thirteen children, one of whom, John, the eldest, was accidentally killed in 1938.

Surviving are, George L., Martin, Adam, Paul, Ben, Margaret (Mrs. Claire Aitchison), Kathryn, (Mrs. Herman Hoffman), Martha, Mrs. Kenneth Serbousek, William Buol, and Miss Edna Buol at home, all of Monticello; Edward and Casper, of Desert Hot Springs, Calif. Also surviving are 24 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Two sisters, Mrs. Barbara Allen and Miss Margaret Hein, and one brother, George M. Hein preceded Mrs. Buol in death.

Funeral services were held last Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the First Presbyterian church, Monticello, the Rev. James Sala, officiating assisted by the Rev. Arnold Buol, Plainfield, Ill. Burial was at Oakwood cemetery.

Pallbearers were the grandsons, Robert John, Laverne, Edwin, Robert, Roland and Raymond Buol, Leonard Hoffman and William Aitchison.
