CENTER JUNCTION - Funeral services for Mrs. Ida Bell, 74, who died Saturday at a nursing home in Oxford Junction, were held in the Presbyterian church Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock with J. Donald Kruithof, student pastor, in charge of the services, with burial in the North Madison cemetery.

Mrs. Bell was born at Langworthy, August 11, 1877, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Leek, and was married to Thomas P. Bell on June 9, 1897. Five children were born to this union, one son, George Louis, died in 1931. The surviving children are: Clarence, Mobile, Ala.; Myron and Arlo, both of Moline, Ill., and Anna (Mrs. George Luke), Marion.

The first 25 years of her married life were spent on farms, and in 1922 the family moved to Center Junction and maintained their residence here until after the death of her husband on April 9, 1947.

Surviving her besides her sons and daughter is one sister, Mrs. Nellie Woodward, Central City, and nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Two brothers, Steven and Leonard Leek, preceded her in death.

Casket bearers were William Wessels, John Gray, Glen Andrews, Walter Seiler, Joe Meade and Willis Heideman.
