OXFORD JUNCTION - Funeral services for Christine Sazma, 64, will be held today at the Sacred Heart church in Oxford Junction.

Miss Sazma died Monday at Mercy hospital in Anamosa after two months of illness. She lived with her brother Ed on the Sazma farm two miles north of Oxford Junction. She was a trained nurse.

She is survived by her brother and two sisters.

Funeral services for Christine Sazma, 64, Oxford Junction were held March 5 in Mayflower Cemetery, Oxford Junction.

Msgr. Joseph Gregor and Msgr. Anthony Chihak conducted the services. Miss Sazma died March 3 following a lengthy illness. She had been hospitalized about three months. She was born Aug. 13, 1894, in Aten, Neb., the daughter of Mathias and Anna Sazma.

She had been a registered nurse and lived on the Sazma farm, two miles north of Oxford Junction, with her brother Edward. Along with belonging to the American Legion, Miss Sazma was a member of the Rosary Society and Sanctuary Guild of Sacred Heart church. She received her nurses training at Mercy hospital, Iowa City.

Surviving are sisters, Mrs. Mary Hayden, Oxford Junction, and Mrs. John (Agnes) Bouska, Protovin, Iowa; and brother Ed Sazma. Miss Sazma was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Clara, and Louis, a brother.

Mrs. Frank Kulhavy, organist and the Sacred Heart choir provided the music at the services. Louis Buresh, Robert Mizaur, Wilbur Soppe, Robert Barth, Paul Lasack and Leard Lasack were pallbearers.
