Mrs. William Scheele passed away at the John McDonald hospital Thursday morning, July 25, after several months illness. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at St. Matthew's Lutheran church with Rev. H. L. Adix officiating. Burial was made at Oakwood cemetery.

Anna Laura Scheele was born July 22, 1892, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Sanford. She was united in marriage to Wilhelm Scheele on Sept. 15, 1915 by Rev. C. Mardorf of the Wayne Lutheran church. They became the parents of one daughter, and made their home at 621 North Cedar street, Monticello.

Surviving are her husband, Wilhelm and the daughter, Lucille (Mrs. William Kustus), Williamsburg; three brothers and three sisters: Mrs. Elmer Rathbun, Cedar Rapids; Mrs. Ben H. Otten, Scotch Grove; Mrs. Herman Thompson, Marion; Lee and Harold Sanford, Monticello, and John Sanford, of Anamosa.

Pallbearers included George Seehusen, Ernest Wahl, George Harris, Ralph Otten, Sam Rhatigan, and Glenn Eilers.
