Cornelius Eiben, formerly of Monticello, died December 2 at his home in Wymore, Neb., at the age of 85 years and 4 months.

Mr. Eiben was born July 26, 1866 at Witmund, Germany. At the age of 8 he came to the United States with his parents and located at Monticello. He attended the Monticello school and helped his father on the farm.

On February 22, 1890, he was united in marriage to Anna Lubben of Martinsburg, Neb., and lived on farms near Monticello and Hopkinton. Later they moved to Martinsburg, Neb., and still later to Wymore where he died after a few weeks illness.

He is survived by his wife, 2 sons and 2 daughters. Three sisters and 3 brothers also survive: Mrs. John Heiken, Monticello; Mrs. Will Martens, Manchester; Mrs. Albert Heiken, Monticello, Henry of Onslow, and John of Waubeek; several grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
