Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon for Eibo Frederick Eiben, who died Saturday at the John McDonald hospital here. Rev. H. L. Adix had charge of the services at St. Matthew's Lutheran church. Burial was made in Oakwood cemetery. Pall bearers included: Ernest Heiken, Harold Eiben, Paul Schmidt, Gerhard Schmidt, Harm Behnken and Edward Siebels.

Mr. Eiben was born on July 27, 1872 in Ostfriedland, Germany, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gerhard Eiben. He came to this country with his parents when a child of 2 years.

On April 6, 1899, he married to Gesina Fehners in the Castle Grove Lutheran church. The couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1949.

Besides his wife, he is survived by four sons: John and Ben, Monticello, Garett, Cedar Rapids and Carl H. of Waverly; four daughters: Mrs. Carl (Mary) Jacobi, Detroit, Mich., Mrs. Augusta Crary, New York, Mrs. Emma Plotz, Sheboygan, Wis. and Mrs. Herman (Louise) Egger, Hopkinton; two brothers: John of Waubeek and Henry of Onslow; three sisters, Mrs. I. A. Heiken and Mrs. John Heiken of Monticello and Mrs. Wm. Martens, Manchester, and 20 grandchildren.
