Services for Mrs. Ray Echternacht were held at the Goettsch funeral home Saturday at 2 o'clock. Mrs. Echternacht passed away at the John McDonald hospital Thursday after being a patient there a short time, but after a long illness. The Rev. John F. Baumann officiated.
Anne S. Echternacht was born in Monticello, May 3, 1897, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Stirton. She was a graduate of the Monticello public schools in the class of 1915 and of Coe college in 1919. On April 5, 1922, she was united in marriage to Ray Echternacht and they were the parents of one daughter, Jean.
She was a member of the Congregational church and included in her many activities while she enjoyed good health, she was past matron of the Order of the Eastern Star and past president of the V.F.W. auxiliary.
Pallbearers included William Jarrett, F. S. Stuhler, Clarence Rhatigan, James Intlekofer, Roy Pearson, and Goerge A. Rickels.
Interment was made at the Oakwood cemetery.
