OLIN - Funeral services for Leuie August Guhl, 75, were held Saturday, Feb. 7 at 2 p.m. in St. John's Lutheran church of Olin with Rev. C. J. Mardorf conducting the services. Burial was in the Olin cemetery.

Mr. Guhl died in a Cedar Rapids hospital on Wednesday, Feb. 4, after a long illness.

He was born in Germany on Sept. 19, 1883, the son of Fred and Dora Guhl. He came to the United States at the age of eight.

He married Amelia Grimm at Davenport on Feb. 16, 1890. He spent most of his life on a farm near Olin until eight years ago when they moved to Olin.

Mr. and Mrs. Guhl celebrated their 40th anniversary in 1950.

He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Verna Bendon; a son, Floyd, two grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Mary Westphal. His parents, two sisters and one son preceded him in death.
