MONTICELLO - Funeral services were held Friday, June 30, for James J. Greenwood, 75, at Sacred Heart Catholic church. Interment was in Sacred Heart cemetery, where military services were also conducted.

Mr. Greenwood died Wednesday, June 28, at John McDonald hospital. He was born Oct. 25, 1881, at Farley, son of James and Mary Tracey Greenwood. He married Nora Keefe April 23, 1924, at Corning.

He was a veteran of World War I and a charter member of the American Legion Sherman-Peterson post at Farley.

Survivors include his wife, Nora; two sons, Frank of Cherokee, and Dwight of Monticello, 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two sisters, Mrs. Joe Pins of Dubuque and Mrs. Gilbert Hanaberry of Madison, Wis.

Pallbearers, all nephews, were Harold Greenwood, Loras Greenwood, Glen Greenwood, Eldon Greenwood, Vincent Greenwood and Tom Greenwood.
