Henry H. Michels, 83, of Cedar Rapids died Monday, Jan. 15, 1990, at Living Center East in Cedar Rapids.

He was born Oct. 30, 1906 at Anamosa and married Lois Leggett there March 9,1928. He was a carpenter and worked for Cope Construction Co. for five years. He retired in 1968.

Lois is a native of the Wyoming community.

Henry is survived by his wife Lois, a son Ken of Kansas City, Mo.; three daughters, Leola Squires of Toddville, Nancy Boots of Hiawatha, and Phyllis Appleby of Mountain Park, Okla.; a brother Carl of Cedar Rapids; three sisters, Elizabeth Higgins of Mason City; Ruth Ostercamp of Marion, and Dorothymae Tuel of Monticello; 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and a step-grandchild.

Funeral services were held Jan. 18 at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories.
