OXFORD JUNCTION - Funeral services for Frank Kostachek, 87, were conducted by Mr. George Daufeldt of Davenport, at the Hayden Funeral Home in Oxford Junction at 1:30 p.m. Mrs. Hans H. Ahrendsen sang and Mrs. L. M. Hayden was organist.

Pall bearers were Richard Benhart, Vernon, Ed and Mike Vacek, Fred Pegorick and Quentin Hoyer. Burial was in the Mayflower cemetery in Oxford Junction.

Frank, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Kostachek, was born in Czechoslovakia, May 4, 1871, and passed away at the Kleineck Nursing home in Onslow, Thursday, Jan. 22, 1959. He came to this country with his family, when a small boy.

He was married to Anna Sobotka, at Anamosa, Nov. 15, 1897. They lived on their farm southwest of town until several years ago, when he retired to Oxford Junction. Mrs. Kostachek died Mar. 13, 1940.

He is survived by a son, Harry; two grandsons; and two sisters, Mrs. Rose Dusanek, and Mrs. Elizabeth Zaruba, Wyoming. He was preceded by his parents, wife and four brothers, Charles, Joe, John and Tom.
