Services were held for Carl E. Seehusen, 81, at Zion Lutheran Church in Wyoming, Saturday, January 7, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. James Mattson officiating. Burial was at the Wyoming Cemetery.

Mr. Seehusen, rural Center Junction, died January 3, 1984 at St. Lukes Hospital in Cedar Rapids.

Carl E. Seehusen was born near Center Junction, May 16, 1902, the son of Heinrich and Engel Ahlrichs Seehusen. He attended rural schools in the Center Junction area. He married Anna Friedrichsen, February 4, 1925 at the brides family farm near Center Junction.

They farmed nearly all their married life on that same farm.

Mr. Seehusen was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and Luther Brotherhood in Wyoming.

He is survived by his wife, Anna; one son, Glenn, Iona, Idaho; three daughters, Betty, Mrs. Robert Pittman; Marilyn, Mrs. Neil Simmons, Cedar Rapids; Julie, at home; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Henry, Monticello; Alfred, Anaheim, California and one sister, Elsie Carr, Cheyenne, Wyoming.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and one sister.

Casket bearers were John Henry Dirks, Colin Dirks, Keith Dirks, Robert Leonard, Steve Seehusen and Mahlon Seehusen.
