Funeral services for Joy Ann Gnade, 39, were held at Carsons Funeral Home in Maquoketa, Wednesday, May 5, at 10 a.m. Officiating were Rev. Fredrick Keil and Rev. Frank Hubner.

Organist was Ruth Ann Scott. She accompanied vocalist Fern Lockwood. Casketbearers were Gene Lust, Kenneth Jorgensen, James Ward, Dale Caraway, James Caraway and Donald Caraway. Burial was in the Monmouth cemetery.

Joy was born December 15, 1942 in Maquoketa, the daughter of Dillion and Catherine Caraway Streets. She married James Gnade September 23, 1962 in Maquoketa. Since 1971 she taught kindergarten in the Oxford Junction Community School. She was active in the Calvary Baptist Church, Onslow.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Jolleen and Jonell, both at home; a son, Jerard at Camp Pendleton, San Diego, Calif.; her mother, Mrs. Catherine Streets, Monmouth, and two brothers, Dennis Streets, Maquoketa, and Stephen Streets, Wyoming. She was preceded in death by her father.
