Funeral service for Kenneth G. Brokaw, 43, Olin, was held Oct. 21st at the Goettsch Funeral home in Anamosa. Burial was in the Forest cemetery.

Brokaw, an Olin resident for the past year, died Oct. 18 at the Anamosa Community hospital following an illness of several weeks.

He was born at Anamosa Dec. 19, 1936, son of Donald and Ruby Pulver Brokaw. He graduated from the Morley High School and attended Coe College, Cedar Rapids. He entered the U.S. Army in 1955 and remained until 1957. He was employed by the Achenbach Trucking firm at the time of his death.

On June 3, 1953, he was married to Jane Askam. They are the parents of four children, Leslie, Angela, Sarah and Jennifer, all at home. In addition to his wife and children, he is survived by his parents and two brothers, John of Marion, and Donald of Monticello.

Rev. Fred Richardson, Olin, officiated at the service. Casketbearers were Gene Eldred, Maynard VanAntwerp, Duane Jurgensen, Merlyn Wilken, Chuck Holcomb, Keith and Wayne Vernon, and Ronald Holub, all from the Morley area.
