Services for Sylvia M. Trinka were held August 24 in the Oxford Junction Methodist Church. The 83 year old resident of Oxford Junction died August 21 in Waukesha, Wis.

The Rev. Kenneth Hamann officiated with burial following in the Mayflower Cemetery. Services were held by the Royal Neighbors of the American Lodge on August 24 at 7:30 p.m.

Mrs. Trinka was born near Monmouth, Iowa, June 24, 1899, to John and Barbara Kubert Yarolum She was the last survivor of 14 children. She married Charles Trinka June 25, 1917, and had lived in Oxford Junction during her married life. She was employed by Clinton Engines Corp., Maquoketa for many years and was a member of the Royal Neighbors of America for more than 40 years and of the Wapsie American Legion Auxiliary Post 473.

Survivors include a son, Alfred Trinka of Delafield, Wis., two granddaughters; and five great grandchildren.

She was preceeded in death by her husband, brothers and sisters.
