Paul W. Tasker, 66, died March 9 at Iowa City.

He was born near Wyoming on July 15, 1914, the son of Neil and Sadie Waggy Tasker. He attended Wyoming High School and in 1941 entered the army.

On April 17, 1946 he married Emma Beatrice Jones at Williamsburg. The couple lived in the Wyoming area since that time, where they farmed for nearly 30 years and he operated a feed store for 12 years. He also bought fat cattle for more than 20 years.

Survivors include two sons, Hugh of Wyoming and Henry of Wilton; one daughter, Mrs. Darrel (Anne) Stender, Jr., of Sherrill; eight grandchildren; and two brothers, Donovan and John of Wyoming.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

Services were held Thursday, March 12, at the Wyoming United Methodist Church with burial in Cady Cemetery near Wyoming. The Rev. Gwyn Osuch officiated. Flag presentation was by Wyoming American Legion Post #259. Mrs. Richard Pace ws organist.

Pallbearers were Paul Takes, Fred Petersen, S.L. Schoenthaler, Glenn Pence, John Eichhorn and Peter Brodersen.
