Services for Richard L. Toerber, who grew up in Oxford Junction and graduated from its high school in 1971, will be held Thursday, Oct. 30, at Hayden Funeral Home in Oxford Junction with the Rev. Douglas Holmgren officiating. Burial will be in Massillon cemetery.

Mr. Toerber, 27, died Sunday in a two-car collision near Lost Nation.

Mr. Toerber was born on Feb. 19, 1953, in Cedar Rapids to Burnell and Sylvia (Jensen) Toerber. The family lived in Toronto for a short time, then moved to Oxford Junction.

He worked for Bahl Lumber Co., Oxford Junction, following graduation and recently was employed by Quad City Construction Co. He lived in Dixon.

He is survived by his parents; three brothers, Leland of Eldridge, Larry of Pueblo, Colo., and Martin of New Liberty; two nieces and two nephews.

Pallbearers were Rick Clapp, Donald Chapman, Alen Goeser, Rodney Zaruba, Guy John, and Rex Curley.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
