Word was received late last week of the death of Carol Tilling. Carol is the wife of Edward Tilling and they and their children, Morgan, Mack and Mattie have been living in Hong Kong. Carol died from a series of strokes. She is the daughter of Mrs. Gladys Coleman and the late Leon Coleman, former Wyoming and Olin area residents. Mrs. Coleman now resides in the Maquoketa Care Center.

Carol graduated from Olin High School and the University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls, Iowa. She held among other honors and awards, the title of one of the first "Farmer's Daughters".

The body of Carol was cremated and her ashes spread over the land she loved. Memorial services will be held at the Wyoming United Presbyterian Church on Saturday, October 11 at 2 p.m. Memorial funds have been established in Wyoming and Olin. Those wishing to contribute may contact Mrs. Mary Thomsen, Wyoming, or Mrs. Frances Brodersen in Olin.

In addition to her mother, husband and children, she is survived by one uncle, Walter Holub, of Wyoming.
